I’m here in Guenser Park - our largest park here in North Torrance. North Torrance residents deserve to have the same representation and services that every other member of our community enjoy. For the last four years we’ve been neglected. As a city we have resources and talented city staff. Having served on the Parks and Recreation commission I saw this first hand. Unfortunately, we don’t currently have a good representative here to ensure we’re prioritized. Our basketball court got repainted, so I guess that’s nice , but the park’s condition leaves a lot to be desired. At the last forum, my opponent said all our city parks are neglected and in disrepair, so let’s compare…
Let’s see McMaster where our North Branch Library is. Better, but unkept and neglected. And some of our signs don’t make sense…
Check this out. I’m here in Wilson Park in District 4. Represented by Mayor Pro Tem Sharon Kalani. Everything is clean and working. Looks great!
Now we’re in District 3 represented by Councilmember Asam Sheikh. Delthorne Park! We have flowers around the sign, a renovated bathroom, and new picnic equipment.
Back to District 1. Out parks aren’t inherently bad, just neglected… and as Councilman I will ensure you finally have someone on the Torrance City Council looking out for you.
